Power Rankings: #8 Bounty Hunterz

The #8 Corporation on our list is one that needs no introduction. BHZ or The Bounty Hunterz, is an organization at the early forefront of large scale alliances. The lead dog in the rather large ROFL Alliance, the influence that BHZ wields is unquestioned. While many would contend that ROFL is a collection of corporations with average talent, few dispute their level of organization and attention to detail as one of the first collections of affiliated capsuleers and ground forces in New Eden.

1. Tell us about BHZ: 

We are a small tight nit group of multi-platform gamers of all ages. Most of our members have been playing games together for at least two years and some as long as ten. We play games together these days more because we have fun doing so, rather than being extremely competitive. It just so happens that we do have some pretty damn good players. 

*Glory Dayz* 

We are a 10 year old gaming clan that originated in SOCOM 1 but didn't form under BHz until SOCOM 2. BHz was probably its most competitive during SOCOM 2. We participated in both SOCOM World Tournaments losing to eventual champ LiQ the first time around and then to the runner up the following year. We stayed pretty active in SOCOM titles following SOCOM 2 through the first 90 days of Confrontation but on a much less competitive level.

*MAG Years*

It was never my intention to bring BHz into MAG. The long lay off between Zipper titles along with growing families sent the clan into hibernation. Myself and 2 or 3 other Hunterz began playing with [VE] Valor Elite during the closed beta. [VE] eventually split up between PMC's so myself and a few key members along with newly acquired [VE] friends rallied to the BHz tag in order to stay in Valor under one roof. We had friends in Valor with KEQ and V-C so we started organizing more joint efforts on the weekends to reduce Valor Blue Dot frustration levels. 

*New Eden*

I always enjoyed working with Stylie and Kushmir so it was a fairly easy decision that we would come together again in some sort of joint venture for Dust 514. Myself and handful of clanmates decided to dive into EvE just to get an idea of what the universe is like. Kushmir put me in touch with Mitauchi and before any of our toons were 100 days old we were out in Querious operating in Sov space. It's actually a little surprising every time I see my primary toon's age in game and realize that I have been playing EvE for almost a year and half in preparation for Dust 514. It has certainly been a long time coming.   

2. Much has been made of early conflicts between the alliance you reside in [ROFL] and another [The Entropy Virus] what do you make of it?

I don't make anything of it, TBQH. We found a corp in EvE operating under the name Dust Warchest, poked it with a stick, and it folded like a lawn chair. At first poke, they were talking all kinds of smack....then once they were War Dec'd and camped into stations, not so much. This is a game, right? We pay a sub or grind ISK in game to be able to shoot other people with our spaceships. Somehow when ROFL played the game vs Dust WarChest aka Entropy Virus we were bullying??? You guys have the chat logs. You know what went down. We played the game, end of story. There's nothing personal for ROFL when it comes to EV. 

3. What has been your early impression of the training going on in Mordu Space? No Comment

4. What if any corps have stood out to you early on and why?

This is a beta and there are plenty of people just trying different things. To judge any players or Corps ability based on beta stats is just trivial for me. What do you get for "winning the beta" anyway?

5. Years ago the MAG Border Skirmishes were brief but bloody but animosity from those conflicts persists, why? 

IMO, forum butthurt. MAG had no end game except for the forums. There are a few SVER groups that I won't name who used the boards to flood the Devs with bad feedback. There is still probably some animosity because of that but for the most part there isn't too much beef. Look at ROFL...We have MAG clans from every PMC all under one roof....Great people

6. What are your biggest concerns regarding planetary engagements?

I don't really have any concerns associated with combat because I don't think we have really seen what full scale warfare will bring to the table. Until those types of battles can be realized there really isn't anything in particular that "concerns" me.

I am however most interested to see the Sov impacts. There needs to be something more than just Planetary Interaction buffs and other similar features. I would like to see something like the iHub timers impacted by Planetary Engagements.

7. Tell us your opinion of the Anarchist led "Burn New Eden" movement. No Comment

8. Your corp has been a rumored target when engagements begin, are you concerned about being attacked when CONCORD leaves the area?

We are certainly here to play the game and we welcome the challenge. "I am Legion, for we are many"

9. How important is the ability to talk between capsuleers and ground forces? Does your group have functioning Universal Voice Transmitters?

I think it's very important for lines of communication to be open between platforms. Relationships may take some time to develop but without the joint comms, you might as well be playing two completely different games.

ROFL as a whole is not currently using UVT's in our in game alliance channel though there are some who do. The alliance is still using our TS server for most of the coordinated efforts

10. Tell us about the goals of BHZ.

Shoot Faces, make ISK, and support our Alliance in EvE and Dust 514 to the best of our ability. 

11. As always, the floor is yours. Is there anything you feel the need to share?

While BHz appreciates the recognition we don't quite understand how these rankings were established and thus question the validity. BHz is part of Rise of Legion and much like our alliance mates, we are here to shoot faces, have a good time with friends, and wreak havoc in New Eden....rankings be damned
