The Dusters Pledge

Our blog has no specific corporation associations or allegiances. It's our intent to remain neutral and simply report the news and other events from inside Dust 514.

In a nutshell, our team of writers was really disappointed that there wasn't a news entity to report significant events from the Dust Mercenary perspective so we created one. We feel like there needs to be a way to highlight events, instances and focus on who's being a great mercenary, alliance leader or CEO without peer, so we'll do it. But you have to help us. Stomp some ice-mining carebears? Putting together an evil plan? Decimate a rival corp? Send it to us so we can write it up as a news story. Or recreate it in short story form from your character's perspective! We have a good fiction writer but we'd love more content. We also want to show another side to the characters (and the people that play them) by doing interviews. We know people are ALWAYS interested in gossip as well, so any information from inside corporations or alliances about spies, top secret info, who's at odds, who got OWNED and other stories are certainly welcome. Keep in mind we'll need proof of your claims. If you can't provide it what you give to us will be relegated to the Rumor section. As always, our tips line is always open magww@live.com. 

Understand that we'd like to fact-check all info and give those affected a chance to respond, but as our team is less than ten people it just isn't realistic. Make our jobs easier by contacting us so that we can add your group to the Corps & Alliances section on the bottom right of our front page. Being proactive and sending us an email to let us know who to contact in your organization helps as well. Lack of response wont stop or delay a piece from running. The news waits for no one. Not a corp or alliance? No problem. In the past we've advertised for information brokers and even gladiator merchants, so in the end its an opportunity for advertising for any service you may offer.

Lastly, we want to be a place where we can highlight the great suggestions, proposed fixes and known imbalances that the people who are playing the game think are important in an organized, educated and balanced manner--we want to avoid the complaint-type threads that often appear on forums after people have a bad experience.
