12.13 Corp Power Rankings

While the history of contemporary planetary warfare is still being written, the truly elite corps appear to be rising to the top. After talking with a number of CEOs, capsuleers and witnesses to the combat simulations taking place in Morduspace we have generated the initial corporation power rankings. The New Eden community has spoken. At the moment its pretty obvious to those watching which groups are separating themselves from the rest of the pack.We used specific criteria when we ranked the corps but certain things eliminated groups from contention. While we took the communities opinions into account, we felt like raw performance in the tourney was important as well. Groups that had more defeats than victories were frowned upon a great deal. Expectations also factored in a great deal. For instance, while PRO didn't make our final rankings, few can dispute that they didnt exceed the expectations many had for them. Other groups did not perform up to expectations and their ranking suffered because of it. Without further delay, introducing the initial New Eden mercenary corp rankings.



1. Imperfects - The clear #1 mercenary corporation in New Eden as of press time.

2. Seraphim Initiative - If there is a group that can challenge for #1 it is SI. This highly organized group took the tourney by storm.

3. Zion TCD - Easily one of the best led corps at this early stage. We rated them above the ROFL corps because TCD is one clan rather than an alliance of them.

4. PFBHz - This recent corp merger seems to bring together the highest-tiered groups in ROFL. It is widely believed that the group formerly known as PFB were some of ROFL's peak performers.

5. WTF - This regional group exceeded expectations. They can easily build upon their tourney success at this stage.

6. The Southern Legion - Another group that exceeded expectations. They are now on the short list of notable merc corporations.

7. KEQ - Some may call this rating lower than expected, but there is still the widely held belief that this group benefited from seeding and being in the same bracket as an ally. They have ample opportunity to prove or disprove this in the future.

8. STB - The first of the 'nonparticipants'. STB may be the subject of many complaints but its our belief that they would have performed better than many of the groups that were included in the tourney.

9. Tritan Industries - Another 'nonparticipant' that is highly regarded. We doubt this group would have failed to perform in the tourney.

10. Betamax -While this group is a shell of its former self after defections [we previously rated them the best merc corp] They still have solid players and are another group that was built to perform in a competitive environment.
